Have I convinced you yet to read further?I’m trying to think of the best way to explain to you how good these were. Okay, I think I got it. Picture this. Kara and I spent mayybeee 5 minutes total making these bars and while we were waiting for them to set I politely tried a bit of crumb mixture left in the bowl. Just a bite for quality control purposes.
Then I realized how oh em gee amazing they were and I continued to scrape every last drop out of the bowl until my paws were covered in chocolate, I had chocolate on my face and chipped polish on my newly manicured nails. But it was worth it!!
I really love a dessert that can be made in a snap. And I really really love it when they taste as amazing as these did! If you like Rice Krispie Treats, which every normal human does, then I think you’ll love these.
Yield: 16 bars
16-ounce package of Oreo Cookies
5 cups large marshmallows
4 tablespoons butter
Butter an 8×8 inch baking dish. Line with parchment paper letting the paper extend up two sides of the pan and overhang slightly on both ends. Butter the parchment paper and set dish aside.
In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the Oreos until ground.
In a large, microwave safe bowl, melt butter and marshmallows in the microwave until puffed, about 1½ – 2 minutes. Stir in the Oreo Cookie crumbs until combined. Transfer to your prepared baking dish. Using a piece of wax paper, press mixture evenly into prepared pan. Let set up for at least 10 minutes. Cut into bars and serve.
