I’m a sweets lover through and through. I’ve heard people say that something is so rich they can only have one bite. Or that something is so sweet it hurts their teeth. I’ve never understood these types of people. And those who say they don’t like sweets in general…well that’s crazy talk! Nothing is ever too sweet for me to have only one bite.Since it’s Friday I really wanted a show stopper. A dessert so rich that only sweets lovers could handle it. Are you all ready for a challenge? Because I’ve got a doozy for you…Cookies and Cream Brownies. It’s Oreo. It’s brownie. It’s chocolate chips and peanut butter. It’s everything you could ever wish for. I had high expectations for this dessert and it lived up to them all. In fact I ate one and forced myself to give the rest away, knowing that hanging on to them would be dangerous. Anyways, the weekend is finally here, I think it’s time to whip up another batch. TGIF!

Here’s what you’ll need

Start by butter and flouring an 8×8 baking dish

Next, cream together butter and sugar

This looks good

Add your vanilla (we use our favorite vanilla bean paste)

Add eggs one at a time, keep mixing

Drop in 3 tablespoons cocoa powder

And the flour

And some salt, it accentuates the flavors

Now fold in half the chocolate chips

Spread the batter in your baking dish and gently press Oreos down

After baking, sprinkle with chocolate chips

And cover with Oreo crumbs. Pop back in the oven for just a couple minutes

Wait…it gets even better…melt together PB and chocolate chips

Yup! Looks good and melted

Pour it on top

And spread evenly. Make sure to lick your spatula

The only negative? Waiting for the chocolate to harden. But it’s worth it!
