We had this bruschetta our first night in Rome. After the very first bite we knew we had to recreate it at home. Who knew something so simple could taste so good?
Garlic and Oil Bruschetta
Ingredients
- 1 loaf of Italian bread (cut in ΒΌ inch slices)
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, halved
- sea salt
- pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brush olive oil on one side of bread and place bread oil side up on lined baking sheet. Bake for 3 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip the bread and brush oil on the opposite side, cook an additional 3 minutes.
- Remove bread from oven. While it is still hot rub the halved garlic on the bread. The garlic will melt into the bread. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
