We hadn’t planned on posting any Easter recipes, but this recipe from My Baking Addiction caught our eye and we just couldn’t resist. In fact I cancelled all my Friday plans to make them. I really did had several things going on tonight. I did. Honest.
So I know this is last minute, but better late than never! One of my absolute favorite chocolates is Cadbury Creme Eggs; I was really excited to try incorporating them in a cupcake.
We used our favorite chocolate cupcake recipe (but omitted the coconut) and a vanilla buttercream frosting from Brown Eyed Baker. The original recipe called for a Cadbury Creme Egg baked into the center of the cupcake, but we decided against that. To make the frosting, we simply separated a quarter of the frosting and used some Wilton gel food coloring to dye it yellow for the yolk. We piped the white first and filled the center with a dollop of yellow. Then top it with a Cadbury Creme Egg!
Happy Easter everyone!
