Anybody that follows our blog knows that we’re total dog lovers. Both of our dogs are spoiled rotten! My friend Jen (also a dog lover and mom to Roxi) bought me a cookbook called Cooking For Your Dog and I’m looking forward to trying out lots of homemade stuff for the pups. It’s about time we’ve included something on our blog for the canines!
We tried these treats within a few days of getting the book. They were so easy! I like this recipe for a couple of reasons. For one they’re ordinary ingredients that we always have on hand and two they’re healthy. Even though I don’t make our dog food from scratch, it is a good feeling to know exactly what my dog is eating. I’m very careful about what brands of food and treats she eats. She’s like my kid and I want her to be healthy :-/
These treats are dog tested and approved. Macee and Juno scarfed them down fast. And as I’m writing this post I think Macee knows she’s the topic of conversation because she’s sitting here so pretty and waiting for one of these banana treats. Gotta run!

Here’s what you’ll need

We used our handy magic bullet to puree the banana

Combine the banana and milk to the whole wheat flour

Add in a tablespoon of corn syrup

And in goes the egg. Mix this all together to form a dough

Roll out the dough and use a cutter to make bones

Bake them for 30 minutes

Sit. Staaaay. Good Dog!!!
