Baked Pears

Now that it is officially Fall, we can start posting fall recipes. Look forward to lots of pumpkin, apple, cinnamon, and soup. Fall is my absolute favorite time of year. It always annoys me that department stores start showing Fall clothes in July! It makes me want to wear sweaters and boots! The Nordstrom anniversary sale is the worst of all. Those catalogs come out in like June, just when it starts getting warm in Chicago! And they are full of sweaters and boots and Fall colors. I always make myself wait until after Labor Day to start wearing boots though. Thankfully, Labor Day has come and gone and I have been wearing boots for weeks. Love!! And don’t even tell me that Winter follows Fall. It is going to stay 65 degrees forever!

Today we have baked pears with a granola filling for you. They were amazing, the perfect start to Fall. The only thing that was missing was a cup of hot apple cider. And apple donuts. For whatever reason,  I do not eat a lot of pears. Apples yes, pears, never. I don’t actually know if I have ever eaten a raw pear. But I do know that I love baked pears. Baked pears with caramel sauce, does it get any better? It does if you add granola! I love the crunchiness that the granola added. If you are a lover of Fall like me, try these baked pears!!!

Here is what you’ll need

Halve the pears and remove the core

Combine all remaining ingredients except the caramel sauce
