Baked Apple Chips

One of my favorite guilty pleasure snacks is potato chips with French onion dip. They are crunchy, salty, and oh so good. Unfortunately, they are not good for you! I saw a recipe for baked apple chips awhile back but I just now got around to making them. I was surprised how much I liked them. They are crunchy like potato chips, but what I really like is the cinnamon/brown sugar coating. It is almost like eating apple pie chips!

These are super easy to make, but they do take awhile. I recommend making a nice big batch on a lazy Sunday afternoon. Once you have the apples cut up and coated with brown sugar/cinnamon all you have to do is pop them in the oven for 2 hours; flipping once half way through. While they are cooking grab a book and relax! Eating plain apples would probably be the healthiest choice but these are much healthier than eating potato chips. If you like apple pie, then give these a try!

Here is what you’ll need

Slice the apples with a mandoline

Combine the cinnamon and brown sugar

Coat each side of the apple in cinnamon and brown sugar

Lay flat on a baking sheet and bake for 2 hours

Simple but delicious!
