I don’t know about you, but I am always looking for snacky food. Laying on the couch watching House Hunters; where’s the pretzels? Watching a movie; where’s the popcorn? On a road trip? Pass the Reese’s Pieces, please. My life is pretty much consumed with what I am going to snack on next. Sad, but true. What am I going to have for a snack, what is for dinner, what is for dessert? These are the big questions on my mind all day, everyday. You would think that I was starved as a child or something. I am always thinking of my next meal.
Cliff and I both love a good snack mix. I am always buying new trail mixes for us to try. One of our favorites is the peanut butter and cashew one from Trader Joe’s. So flippin’ good! Around holidays we like to make our own with special seasonal products. For Halloween/Fall we chose: candy corn, dried apples, caramel corn, and pumpkin seeds. Basically, things you don’t typically eat all year round. We also chose Reese’s Pieces for the fall colors. You could do M&M’s instead if you prefer though. I am definitely going to make little bags of snack mix to give to my co-workers this Halloween. Sometimes snack mix is a nice change from the Snickers and Butterfingers that always turn up in the break room the day after Halloween!
